Im trying to flash the new X2 4981.06 256k BIOS to my Chameleon on bank 0 (which it is currently in). I created a custom color X logo using the latest XBTool. Got the MD5 and pasted it in my evox.ini. I then FTP'd my newly created BIOS to the BIOS folder in C. The new BIOS shows up in my BIOS selection. I select it to flash to bank 0 on my chameleon, and it gives me and "unknown flash type" I rebooted and I still have the same XBOX logo. So apparently it didnt flash. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me out please. Thank you to all who lend a helpful hand.

You need the correct flash code in your Evox.ini Some examples are:
#
Flash = 0x01d5,"AMD - Am29F080B",0x100000
Flash = 0x015b,"AMD - Am29LV800B",0x100000
Flash = 0x01a4,"AMD - Am29F040B",0x80000
Flash = 0x01da,"AMD - Am29LV800B",0x100000
Yours might not be one of the ones I listed, but it should work. You can get more from other posts in the Chameleon or Evox forums.

I you just want to flash to bank 0 again you don't have to touch anything (DIP switches)on the chip. Just flash from Evox.
