I have just got a modded xbox (mostly to watch divxs etc). It already had media player 2.3 on the hdd, so i thought it would work straight away. But the dvd drive hadnt been mapped. so i change the config, by adding
<map>D:,Cdrom0</map>
in the media section where these were already listed,
<map>E:,Harddisk0Partition1</map>
<map>F:,Harddisk0Partition6</map>
(i did indent it etc)
But i restarted my xbox, (evoX dash) and went to media player, but it loaded up the EvolutionX screen sat there for a while and said "unable to locate file"
So i added changed back to the other config.xml that i originaly changed, and it now stills says that. any idea of how to get this sorted??
(Iam changing the config in E:/apps/XBplayer)
I got the new version of media player 2.4 and put that on the hdd, E:/apps/xbmp2.4 (and put a link to it on my evox.ini) but when i try to run it, it just freezes at the green evolution x load up screen.
Now both 2.3 and 2.4 sit at the evolution X screen and do nothing.

if the video parameters is set to 16:9 in the ms dashboard, try to put 4:3 and then try again to launch xbmp

i have a similar prob.. i can`t select xbmp in my apps location... i can see xbmp2.4 with blue script but can`t select it... any idea??
