I got my XBox chipped May 03 , at a local computer shop, but i dunno what chip was installed.
It came with EvoX on it which i have since upgraded to v3921
From the Evox screen i can see my BIOS is EvoX D.6 and Kernel 1.00.4817.01
Everything runs fine and dandy, would i benefit by flashing my BIOS to a newer version?
Dunno much about BIOS flashing.

i agree.
You could be safe from banning if you upgrade to the latest bios, but you don't have to.
The newest xecuter 2 bios 4981 is very good if you play on live, but other than that you are fine
