i was wondering, if i disable my mod chip, but have everything in except the d0 point, should my regular xbox work? or will it only work once my d0 point is soldered?

The d0 determines if the mod is on or off, if the d0 isn't soldered or making a connection, it will to be off...

i have the lpc points soldered but not the d0 point, and when i turn my xbox on i get the red/green flashing light along w/ the 3 resets, so that means i totally ruined my xbox?

No, not ruined. Just means you did a shitty job on the LPC points. Resolder them and make sure there's no shorts. Use a miltimeter to test the soldering, and then solder the d0 point. You have a short to ground somewhere.
