Is there a way I could add a sleep timer for XBMP myself, or can you guys add it in the next release? (Or am I stupid and there already is one?)

I'd like to stream ShoutCast radio when sleeping, and want the xbox to shut itself off. Thanks.

Hi,
I'm getting something wrong, and hopefully someone can help. I put the following into my config.xml :

<share>
<name>Network (XNS)</name>
<url>d:\shared\music@10.0.0.14</url>
<cachesize>256</cachesize>
</share>

On my PC, d:\shared is a share with share name "Shared". Music is not shared as it's a subfolder of the share. I've even setup a user account of xbox/xbox on my PC (10.0.0.14) ! My xbox is on 10.0.0.111 and I can connect to it from PC via ftp no problem.

Anyway, it doesn't work. The above I got by following the guide. relax_ns is running on my PC and I have setup all the shares more or less identically to the guide (with the exception that I use d:\shared and not d:\streams ... just not happening. I turn on xbox and try to connect and ... nothing ! any ideas ?

Something that I don't get about this system is the ref to d:\xxx@x.x.x.x The "d:\" is irrelevant ! it should (I think) just be sharename@x.x.x.x I didn't know that d:\xxx@x.x.x.x was a valid notation.

You shouldn't take over someone else's thread with your own problems, since they have nothing to do with a sleep timer (which would be cool btw). And also try to search, since there have been hundreds of topics asking the same question as yours. But since I am feeling extremely nice today I will share with you my config.xml alteration to stream mp3s from my computer.

I know some people use relax. I don't however. First create a share on your computer. Mine is called "mp3s". Then just open your config.xml and find:

<music>
<visible>true</visible>
<share>
<name>Network Server</name>
<url>smb://user:@Coreys_house/Intel/mp3s</url>
<cachesize>256</cachesize>
</share>

This is my personal file.
"user" is the user name that logs in the computer.
"Coreys_house" is the domain you are on. Usually "workgroup" but I change all the PCs in my house to "Corey_House" so I can see easier when other people connect to my network.
"Intel" is the computer name.
"mp3s" is the share name you create.

Use the same format for pictures and videos.
