ok so i tried to use my programmer and it gave me an error saying something was out of sync.

Apparently the x2cable program cannot see the chip for whatever reason, what does the parallel port need to be configured for. Right now its on bidirectional.

The other choices i have are ECP, EPP and Compatiable. Thise are the other options, which do I choose

is it a new 2.3 or different ver? if 2.3 try not using the little adapter piece. also try all diff parallel settings.

Also, you could try removing the connector plate and plugging it directly into the LPT port...
