Are they still open i loved this place for skins. looks like they have departed us

It's not dead, just they exceeded their bandwidth, so their hosting company isn't letting anyone view the page for the rest of the day (maybe till the end of the month, or end of their billing cycle that is).
Uhm, weren't they being hosted by xbox-scene.com? I'm sure i read that somewhere or maybe i'm just being stupid, either way is fine.
yep.. they were being host by xbox-scene.. and run by momdad and koldfuzion.. I haven't seen much of koldfuzion at all lately, but momdad I just chatted with today on irc... did ask him about allxboxskins though.. next time I see him on there.. I'll do that.. or someone could simply PM KF and ask what the dealio is...

i dont think axs will ever depart us. koldfuzion will make sure of that.
Just goes to show how valuable AXS is. I just hope it doesnt stay down too long or we'll start seeing posts about how much AXS sucks for not giving away skins for FREE on their own FREE time.
Koldfuzion, if you read this.. wouldn't mind if you could upload the skins off AXS to the newsgroups or to my ftp server so we can share them in the channel.. if not, I understand.. but just a request...

Sorry but, allxboxskins will always be the place for ALL Xbox Skins... Nothing against you, just it was the original, and still the best...
If you want more visitors (like me and my posse) you need to revamp the site design and start thinkin of ease of use... Could use a cosmetic makeover also, as its very bland and looks like a run-of-the-mill PHP-Nuke Site...
And yes, this is constructive critisism, not rippin you at all...

i like the services of xbox-skins.net sure its got its problems (what new site dosen't) and i agree with Yuyu it definatly needs a new skin

Hmm Simple Looking? Not really, bunch of rectangles inside of more rectangles, feels like I'm in Cluttermania...
DO I want him to take a hike for poor site design, no... I just think it would be a better resource if people were drawn tp gp there, don't care how much banwidth you have, if the site looks a feels Clunky and cluttered, no one is going to want to use it...
Blazed, don't take anything I say here personally, I kinda just like to layout what I'm thinking, don't take it to heart...

Well, its a message board so what do u expect. Rectangles inside of rectangles are expected. It only takes like 2 clicks to get to the skins, just like allxboxskins.com. IMO it doesnt look cluttered, clunky as u you've said... Its just fine for me. A site for skins doesnt need to be all flashy and sh*t, but be descriptive & accessible. But yes a new skin would be better.. Of course AXS will be the main site for skins, but it only helps the scene by having another. But its your opinion so whatever. Blazed keep it up.

Ok.. I have to admit,
I haven't been on AllXboxSkins, downloading skins in a while.. I just visited there today to re-evaluate my viewpoint... I do feel ashamed to say that I was wrong in my unjustified criticism of AllXboxSkins... perhaps my memory of how hard it was to get a skin off the site was washed out... I'm not sure, it really doesn't matter. I do sincerely apologize to KoldFuzion and MomDad for my shameful comments earlier in this thread. AllXboxSkins is well laid out (a lot better then what I remember) and flows very nicely... my only quam with it is the download limit... I think it was like 15 skins, then I was blocked from downloading more... but I surely do understand that. Bandwidth is expensive... for the T1 line that I use, it cost almost $1000 a month.. and it gets sapped by people downloading preview videos from me off #mxmfiles... So I understand the limits...
Anyway..
