The problem is the the location on the board R3G5 , it got suck up into the sucker.

any one knows what is the value of it?

the smalll tiny shit i think is a resistor or diode.

need to replace it cause the cant it in the rubbisk bin sad.gif

it is 100 ohms, I replaced mine with a surface mount resistor from an old PC mother board. The writing on the chip is 101 (the latter 1 being the mutiplier). Hope this helps. By the way you don't even need this resistor. I used my xbox for weeks before I replaced it. Without it you can get a half green, half orange LED on the front. It looks kind cool, but not as cool as the blue leds I have now. biggrin.gif

Will it not be still inside the solder sucker. I wont ask what you were using a solder sucker on this point for biggrin.gif

R3G5 is 1/4 watt 100ohm but you can just join the points with with some solder to make a connection because it is just a power button control circuit. It won't affect the performance of your machine (i have done this several times with no side effects)

I think you are mixing this up with R3G3.
R3G5 is in the LED circuit not the power circuit.
I would not advise just soldering the points together. If it was fine long term to run it like that it would not have the resistor in there in the first place.

true. though I actually mean R3G5 (same one I've had come off the board) and without the points birdged by anything the power button doesn't work. (on my xbox anyway)
