I have the xecuter2 chip installed and working fine and I installed the evo-x bios but am unable to complete the evolutionX dashboard due to a lack of network connection. Is there any other way of going about this, so basically I can install further ulitlities etc onto my xbox?
I have tried to find the answer for myself but have just been finding ftp references.
Any help is much appreciated.

well, you can use slayers or make your own boot disc
after that, you just have to burn the applications you want onto a disc, then copy and paste the files using boxplorer

OK, so far I've managed to successfully run dvd2xbox from CD, I copied the contents of this CD to the xbox HD but am still unable to run it from the EvolutionX dash.
I still got the blue EvolutionX dash board and it doesn't have a utilities option, only MS Dashboard, Reboot, Power Off, Settings and Backup.
At which point have I gone wrong?
