YES, its a BIG foulup by me, but I had some FTP trouble regarding the transfer speed, and interrupted to fix it. I fixed the speed issue, and wanted to delete the partial download, but I deleted the files on the C-drive instead. My foulup of the YEAR... oh well.

What do I do from here ?

Can I "borrow"! a friends xBox and backup his c-drive, and ftp the files back over on my xbox, or ?

- or -

Can I just install the new large harddisk, and put the dashboard, and other thing I need on there ?

PLEASE help me, as I must admit, I dont know what to do... sad.gif

download the slayers auto installer iso
Trevante
yes you can use a friend's xbox, just copy everything except the eeprom.bin. Either that or you can rebuild the C drive w/ slayers.

I already got the Slayers Auto-install ISO, but it doesnt work without having a backup of my c-drive sad.gif , or what menu item should I select ?

I can EASILY get access to a friends Xbox, but its not modded in any way = factory standard, will it let me connect on the ftp then ? Also, what about the missing file (The EEPROM one.. I should not copy over ?).

Im glad for the responses I got already, but I need a little further help, please biggrin.gif

if you can get slayers to boot, try looking for the rebuild retail HDD option. And also, see if you can get configmagic to load your eeprom and dump it to your C drive.

If your friend's xbox is unmodded, then you can't do anything with it....

Hello,

I cant rebuild in slayers, without having the backup.

I restored the M$ dash, and got the eeprom out also, and backed up.

Having these things, I dont know if I lost anything else, from my C: drive ?

To me, it now looks like I have it "as good" as new , or ? It will even work perfectly without having the chip turned on ohmy.gif)

My best,

yea sorry, i meant to restore the MS dash. That's all that's in the C drive anyways (AFAIK). Try booting your xbox with the chip off, or launching evox and then going to the MS dash and see if it works properly.

It seems to work perfectly even with the chip OFF, so I think I restored the c: drive ok, with the M$-dash biggrin.gif

Should I place the backup of EEPROM on the C: also ? or does C: ONLY contain the M$-dash ?

Thanks for a great board with biiiig help cool.gif

Just make a new backup like you did originally (or if you don't know how, go to 'Backup' in EvoX). Other than that, nothing is on C:.
