If you have the evox bios installed correctly on an Xbit modchip, but have not yet installed the Evox dashboard, will there be anyway to tell? That is, will it change the flubber thing at the begining?

unless you colormodded the X no, theres no way to tell, put in a slayers cd or other backup and see if it runs it

the evox bios doesn't look any different from the MS bios (unless you changed the color of the xbox and whatnot). Just put in an evox boot disc and see if it runs. If it does, your chip was flashed properly. If not, then your chip wasn't flashed properly.

I don't know off bat, but you can always tell if they are loaded correctly if you open the BIOS in XBtool and change the LED. This way, if the light is anything, but green, you know it's successful. You could also change the opening splash and color of the "X" screen.
If you want to see if your chip is working fine, see if you can run something burnt.

I made my LED red, and changed my Xbox logo to red and blue, I removed the trademarks, and the MS text. So I didn't see the "Matrix inside" under "XBOX." I knew I did it right because the color of the Xbox logo and text changed. Plus my power led turned red. My BIOS is Evox M7 eject fix.
