Hey i was trying to open my xbox without a torx screwdriver and i used allen wrenches. They work fine. It was english size i think but metric should work also. I just wouldn't tighten the screws insanely hard with it cuz it might strip.

Uh, a decent Torx screw set costs maybe $10. Why do you *need* something cheaper than that?

i didn't say anyone needed it, but if you have allen wrenches then you just saved yourself 10 bucks

You can do this, but I would get a torx. Chances are you will be opening this thing up more than you think, and eventually it may strip those cool little screws!

thats what i was about to say.. =)

don't risk stripping it, get a torx. I picked up a torx10 bit for my screwdriver for less than 2 dollars at home depot.

i picked up a whole set
torx 1,2,5,7,10,15,12
