what are the advantages/disdvantages of have 1 MBit (or higher) on your chip. Is it bad to have a 256kb chip such as the matrix

2nd question. whats the difference b/w all these BIOSs such 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, I have a 256kB 2.6 version is that good enough... what makes it newer (better?) then 2.4 and 5

There is no big deal between a 256k and 1Mb modchip except that the 1Mb one can contain bigger BIOS (sic). For now there is no big deal with that as all Bios have the same size but who know for the future...

And for the differences between the differents BIOs there is a very good section in xbox-scene. Go take a look.

Well, it's not "who knows" anymore, the X-ecuter team has said that all of their bioses from now on will be bigger than 256K.

I agree with you on that but for NOW there is no such bigger bios available.

Just a correction here...

The Matrix is a 2megaBIT (256kiloBYTE) chip, while the PC-Bioxx and X2 are 8megaBIT (1megaBYTE) chips.

Try not to get the terminology confused, because there's an order of magnitude of difference between them (octally, at least) blink.gif blink.gif
