i had the same problem as many as my xbox will not boot at all and flashes red after updateing the avalaunch 48.55
not to worry
what i need to know is
i have a second xbox which has an xbit chip in it
if i use the xbit in the one thats fucked can i repair my eprom in the dodgy box
or will the tsop have to be flashed

no chip in my orig xbox as it was falshed

will put that on and try it in th mornin when i get in from work

can't mis out on my rainbow six in xlink

fixed my eeprom using my chip and bios 4977
switched over to 4980 which i had on was all ok
turned off chip to ry boot and we moved to the next problem
3 x boots / red light frag
has anybody else experieced tsop problems
is there an easy way to re flash my tsop or is this not the problem
board still has wires on from original flash
or am i barking up the wrong tree
any help would be appreciated before i end barking mad
