Hi, i am not sure if i'm asking this in the right place, but i was wondering if there is a way to "patch" phantasy star so it 'thinks' you're connected to a server.. I was wanting to play it offline, and not on XB live.. any help is much appriciated!

There IS an offline mode, if I recall correctly. You select it instead of Online before you can play.

If you dont have an Xbox Live gamertag and it isnt letting you play at all, then yes, there are patches that create a fake gametag to play offline only. I think

Ok I know this a ollllllld topic, but I need help and don't see the need to make a whole new topic. Anyway, when I patched my default.xbe with the offline crack it accomplished nothing more than making the .xbe 56mb. When I start it up, it still pops up with the error screen that it doesn't detect xbl, which I don't have. Please help me

Hey guys. I got the hacked default.xbe, but it's a different size from the original file, so I can't make a patch for it. I also can't upload it to xbox-saves.com since they don't like it when you upload default.xbe's.

So if you'd like it, just send me an email at tomvs123@yahoo.com and I'll send it to your email account. Also, if you've got some webspace, after I send it to you, feel free to put it on the net and post the address here. It's a zipped file about 2.62mb.

What's the file limit size on geocities? We could always start up a new page, and post the .xbe file, and a few other files there..

I found The pre patch .xbe also ;However,it is not fully funtional when applied it ,as when you open an 4 player split screen quest it is useless,there is no quest nor any interaction with NPC!! So on a scale of 1 to 10 id say about 4 ,Ill stick with the dreamcast version for the whole single player experience,as the PowerVR GPU on the dreamcast Has more vivid graphics than the Xbox.

You guys find a place for me to upload it to, and I'll post it. I have the prepatched .xbe file. It has a gamer tag linked to it (Fakegamertag). Just keep in mind, that it is the Japanese version that it edited from. This really wont matter much, unless you get into some hexing of the .xbe files, or some of the 'auto patches' that are out there (ie: max stats). The other hexing hacks work fine with it (such as the quest_21 hex hack).

I do have the file myself. I just said, no offering allowed on the forums. I'm not contradicting myself. All I did before, was HINT at where to find it previously.

well i wanted to relive with my family the old multiplayer gamecube days in my psox but i found out that i need a gamertag, this was a lame move by sega and microsoft.
