Hi All,

i bought my Xbox pre-chipped, and want to now which chip is in it. Anyone have any ideas how to find out which chip it is.

maybe if you install the EvolutionX beta V1.8.3285 dashboard, it displays your chipname when it boots, i think

No, it doesn't.

"Matrix Inside" is displayed no matter what mod chip you are running.

He should consider opening up his X-box. Chances are, somebody popped a Matrix on, jumpered his TSOP, and flashed his Xbox's onboard BIOS, then removed the Matrix.

put this in the evox.ini
youl see where if u open it

Those are just the bioses (incomplete list) that he could be using...opening up the box is pretty much the only way to see what kinda chip. Use evox and go to flash bios, have it detect flash type (if possible) and if you are able to flash you'll know a little bit more about your chip

Spoke with the guy who chipped the box, says its a xecuter 1.1 - is it a good one?

The only way to check is to open it up and look.. An X1.1 is ok, but not upgradable. I have a 1.0 and have had no problems or need to upgrade so far...

what about BIOS Checker v2.06?
no need to open the box up, run this app from your xbox and see what you got installed (still could be a flashable modchip or a homebrew though) but at least you will know what bios you have loaded.
