ok then, i got aladdin installed in my xbox then flashed it but it wasnt successful so my xbox crashed and i had to change my hard drive ect... i decided it would be cheaper to by a new box and have to same modchip installed but my question is would the chip still work???

need more details like.

1. is it the BIOS of the modchip screwed?

2. is the BOX eeprom fried?

what is the error code?

flashing light what colour.

so if case 1 the modchip is useless need to reflash it

case 2 modchip should be good .

try to diagnoise before making any move

well, i get error message 16 and my light flashes red and green/yellow. this also happens when i had the chip removed, so i just gessed it wasnt the chip. but also, i flashed the chip and it worked fine but for some stupid reason i reflashed it and my box froze so i turned to box off and thats when it went wrong!

have you try booting it with slayer?

if it boot then can reflash.

is your aladdin bios socketed? or soldered in the PCB.

if you can borrow your friend bios. put it inyour box boot slayer with it. slowly remove the bios put in yrs (without switching off the box)
reflash ths bios, then wah lah. box is working again.

i did this to 1 of the aladdin chip. now it is working fine

i used evo x, and i scrapped my old xbox so i was just wondering if it was the xbox that was broke or the chip, because if its the chip i need to tell the bloke whos installing it in my new xbox my msn is innovate_redesign@hotmail.com if that is easier to talk
