I softmodded my xbox using the mechassault exploit. The other day i accidentally erased a file on the C: drive and now i can't ftp into my xbox, even if i load up the hacked save file. If i DL the slayers disc, will I be able to install it and save my xbox.

Also, i had just bought this refurbished Xbox at a local store a week ago and i know i can still return it. Should i try?

You could use slayers or evoX, both have built in FTP systems.

evox is probably easier because with slayers youd have to extract the iso, edit the evox.ini in there, then put it back into an iso.

Where as with evox youd immediately have the .ini file and then youd just have to make it into an iso.

My question is will i be able to get back into evo-x with the slayers disc? Or if i have the evo-x iso, can I burn it to a cdrw and get the xbox to play it? Because i can't get back into the evox.

Also, if all else fails, should i return the xbox, claiming it "defective"??
