i played a xvid movie in xbox media player and i got what i was looking for - sound from all 5.1 speakers. my settings: output to all speakers

i played the exact same movie with xmbc right after that and it only output in stereo although my setting in on "Output to all speakers". don't know why it won't work. i've tried the passthrough settings both on and off but it makes no difference. should this be working or is it a WIP.

also, if u want the 5.1 DD sound should the passthrough's be enabled or disabled?

This way it sends the sound stream to your amp and it sends out the signals to the right speakers. Only have enable dd/dts passthru enables.

There was an issue with dts files, but it has been fixed in cvs so either wait for a new build or.... wait for a new build
