My XBox dvd drive is extremely tempramental, I can put in a copied game and it will work no problem. Sometimes when I put in a Brand new dvd from a seal pack it will say the disc is dirty or damaged. When I try a few times later, it will recognise the dvd and then not recognise the copied game. Is any one else having problems with their dvd drive.

Used to have this problem with a philips drive and Princos.

I lowered the burning speed which cured it .

If your feeling very brave and have a philips you could try a pot tune but its risky and not for the faint hearted .

Go with the working brand of media. If you have a Thomson:



Best to stick with that brand.

If you have a Samsung, DVD+R doesn't well with it.

You say it will recognize the disc, but not play? Please explain
