I am trying to get vga output to work on my v1.4 box, with little success. I made the vga adapter out of the standard a/v connector, but only get a green version of the xbox startup animation then a black screen. I was reading that there is a new release of cromwell that supports the 1.4 box and was wondering if anyone knew if you can boot avalaunch with cromwell and get vga out. I have already modded the back of my box to have rca, svideo, spdif, left/right channel audio....good stuff, not to mention they DO all work...YAY.

thanks

AFAIK, you need one of the two VGA BIOSes, and one only works for v1.0 Xboxes and the other works only with v1.0 & 1.1 Xboxes.

er......

TATX VGA BIOS works fine on my 1.3 Xbox.

Well the only correlation (sp?) I see with it working on a v1.3 is that it doesn't work on an Xbox with a Focus encoder chip (v1.4 & 1.5), though I can't verify that.
