I know there is a linlux forum but it isn't overly active so I am hoping someone can help me here.
I get to the logon screen and logon as admin User-root Password-xbox. Now from here what an earth do I do. I have Gentoox Pro edition, a keyboard and a mouse.
Cheers

linuxquestions.org is quite active as fas as forums go.
And to login you need to enter your login name and password. If you didn't specifically create one the login name is "root". I can't tell you what you chose for a password. From there startx should kick you into graphical mode. I'd recommend creating another user name as using root tends to be a bad idea. Too many things can be screwed up if you dont know what you're doing.

Download the HOME version...
If you are not a programmer or very familiar with sources etc. you wont be able to do anything without tee-spoon feeding.
HOme will automaticially run KDE/ some other interface, and install all the apps you need.

I know that home would be a better Idea but I can't download it (many different reasons)
I have posted in shallax and I keep getting replys like "use home" and "read tutorials" but I have already said I can't get at home and I have read the tutorials.
I just want a graphical interface. HOw do I get there? Please no read tutorials or download hoome replys

Gentoo is known to be incredibly difficult to get working on "special" hardware, like Mac's or Xboxes. I would suggest Xebian and a reinstall.
EDIT: I just remembered. Doi. Once you are at the command line (after logging in), type "XF86Config" and push enter. Answer the questions to the best of your ability. After that finishes, run "Startx" or "xwm" to get graphical.

Thanks man. Believe me I would be using xebian if I could download that version. As it is it took an overnight download of pro.
I'll give that a whirl cheers.
