I have EvolutionX installed. I can FTP into and transfer files over to my xbox. But I am unable to delete files or create directories on my xbox.
I am using FlashFXP and have tried both passive modes and non-passive.
I have been unsuccessful on irc and with search in finding an answer.

I've heard of FTP problems with ver 3921. If you have that version you might want to update it.
Otherwise, it might help to reformat the partitions...

i am running version 3935
Any ideas on what causes this?

what ver of flashfxp? make sure its the latest and try different clients too.

I had the same problem, so i use boXplorer to delete and make make new directories
