Full Version: Used Computer Hdd To Xbox

if i format a 20 gig hdd from my computer will it work in my xbox? its a western digital i think. should i just buy a whole new one or what? i know 20 gigs is small but its all i got for now since i need my 80 in my pc.

any help is appreciated

yeah, you'll be good, just put the hard drive in and run the slayer's auto installer disc and let it do all the formatting for you and you'll be good to go smile.gif

where can i get x-disk?

Check the compatability chart in the hardware forum, WD is usually hit or miss on lockability, but usually works overall in xbox.

just use slayers (check out the evolution x forums)

i used xdisk (which is also outdated since the last few app releases) and it foobared the living crap out of my xbox and i had to ftp and remove all the junk it put on my xbox, too much work and i'll never use it again

when i was a n00b though slayer's never did me wrong
