I have a 7200 rpm and i havent used it several days now and no problems...but i heard if you get 7200 then you prolly wanna upgrade your cooling system....which is easy...i dunno if it would make a diffference between 5400 to 7200 but my loading screens are almost subliminal haha, good luck

The temperature does go a bit higher, but still well within safe levels (if you don't block your cooling vents).
You can increase the fan speed by editing the bios if you want (default speed is 20%, so 40-60% is a good option - otherwise it is too loud).
