Can i just stick the xbox HDD in my comp as a primary slave and have my Comp. HDD as a promary master, would the bios detect the locked HDD?

The bios wouldn't detect that a drive is there? and say can't acess drive is locked or something?
i don't wanna see whats inside the drive i want to see if the drive is dead

give it a shot dude, you certainly won't have access to your xbox files, and i don't know for sure how much access to anything else..

If you HDD is locked, it will still be detected by your PC bios, you just won't be able to access it.

I hooked up my xbox HDD to my comp as an Primary slave and it would detect and it didn't hear like it was spinning up so i am think it is a paperweight now.
