i can't connect to xbox via pc. i have evox dasboard installed and i have this common problem with connecting to xbox. i have a static ip and i'm using a crossover cable. i connected one end to xbox and the other to my usb cable modem. i've configured network settings like this

pc

192.168.0.2
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.1

xbox

192.168.0.3
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.1

i tried connecting with flashfxp with passive mode off and its starts by saying connected but after few seconds i get connection failed

i've tried pinging xbox ip and i get a timeout but when i ping pc ip i get a reply

i've turned off windows firewall and my crossover cable is brand new. i don't know why it won't work??? any ideas????

skip connecting to modem , try direct connect to pc instead.

i've tried pluging my crossover cable into pc but that didn't work either

just out of curiosity i have a second network connection which i've disabled and is called nvidia nforce mcp networking. do you think i can do something with that???
