looking to buy a burner for my sons pc. combo burner. can anyone tell me which
one to get an d what software to but to burn ps2 and rented dvd movies also!

I hear the LG 411S is a good burner, essentially anything from sony, NEC, LG, etc will be good if you use good media. As for backing up movies, DVD X Copy, all the way. It's a tad expensive, but it can be found for free, if you know where to look. If you don't want to pay any money for dvd movie backup software, DVDShrink is a good program to use. For backing up games I use Alcohol 120%, Nero, occasionally DiscJuggler and CDRWin.

I love this burner. no problems at all so far. except for on crappy compusa princo stamped dvdrs. which it turns out suck for any type of backup, not just xbox games.
