RSX Type-S?

I haven't driven an RSX yet...I was never very impressed with Integra to be honest, and I believe the RSX is still the Honda Integra in Japan.

Let me know how you like it though!
maxgeek
I had a Acura CL-S until i got into an accident mad.gif

My sister has an RSX. Its a good car, but the engine feels gutless. The car feels fast though. Like if you are going 25mph it feels like 40mph. It has back breaking suspension too. Its way too stiff for my liking.
AnThRaX
My grandpa owns a Toyota/Caddy dealership and a seperate Kia/Mazda and there building a NISSAN right next door to the toyota place.
I get my dads supra when I turn 18 or when im fully responsible to my dads liking. And I get another car. Probably in the 25k range on my b-day which is in April!
IndieSnob
I own a 96 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra. Sure it's not a super modded fast car, but I don't beleive in the whole cars for looks things. I got it almost 2 years ago, and it was mostly rebuilt, and I've not put a dime into it yet, and drive back home almost every other month (700 miles roundtrip) and even drove to San Fran during Christmas (1900 miles roundtrip) and the thing still rocks. Here's to american sedans laugh.gif
Mast3r Ch13f
I own a (1991) Lexus LS-400 Sedan smile.gif .
Zero
97' Ford Escort, nice gas mileage and was a good buy used.
motox333
'94 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP.....fast, those cars.

Yeah, the Type S.

I have test drove a Toyota Celica, Nissan Sentra Spec-V, Hyundai Tiburon, Mazda 6, Acura RSX, and a Hummer H2, all in the last 3 months.

I work with business managers at every type of car dealerships (we supply their software/hardware) so I can get pretty much a staff discount on any car I want.

The Acura was by far my favorite, other than the H2 (about $70,000) and although it is not the best deal I can get, I think it is worth it.
nemt
Ah, interesting...I don't suppose you got a look at the TSX as well though, did you?
UndercoverPunker
I drive a heavy chevy... 1993 Caprice Classic... It's a fucking beast!!! I have a DBF of 6... 199, 150 mi and still kicking strong...the transmission has been re-built, but the engine's never been touched... amazing what regular maintainance will do for ya...

Ah...the detective car.

Does it have those nifty digital gauges?
UndercoverPunker
no it's not a 9c1(cop car) or a LTD, it also, sadly lacks the 5.7L, I only have 5L...so sad... That's fine, I'll upgrade to an Impala SS here in a few years...
Untouchable
1991 camaro RS 5.7 V8 im rebuilding the transmission 136,000miles on body and around 40,000 on the engine i hate it though because im only fifteen on my permit still CANT DRIVE BY MYSELF grr.gif chevy all the way
Ween311
I have a 2000 Honda Civic (4-door) but I really want to buy a Subaru WRX when I get this one paid off.
Ween311
Or maybe an old VW. I used to have a 1974 VW Thing about 10 years ago and it was sweet.....and ugly.

If your getting a hook up why are you leasing? Your setting yourself up to get screwed. Your should really try to finance it. Interest rates on RSX are pretty good right now.

Well that just shows your vehicular ignorance then............all the ferrari v8 engines were less than three litres! smile.gif
HiRoll3r
2001 S-10 Blazer. Small enough to park anywhere, but big enough to pack a few people plus the dog into, tow my tractor (yes, I'm a farmer as well as an IT guy), get myself out of the mud, etc. Prior to this I had a 94 Mustang GT (first one sold at the dealer I got it from) which I had sunk about 10K in audio system, exhaust, suspension, etc into. The Blazer just has a Flowmaster and a couple other cheap upgrades.

Why would someone buy a V8 ferrari?

That's like buying a celeron...

Hmm...

Own:
'93 Geo Metro, which is nothing but a rebadged Suzuki Swift. So I'm not exactly sure to label it American (Geo=GM if I'm not mistaken) or Japanese (since it's really just a rebadged car).

Soon to swap in a 1.3L DOHC + 5sp Manual from an '89 Suzuki Swift GTi...contemplating a stage 1 turbocharger.

RICE-IFY!!! ph34r.gif

Want:

Saleen S-7 (for those that don't know...)
'72 Chevy Nova (my friend had a sweet setup on his)
My friend's old, beat up '84 Mercury Grand Marquis GS (add turret and go!)
Rylinkus
EvilWays, you need smaller displacement.
You need to find a Chevy Sprint Turbo.
1.0L of fury out of an inline 3
That equates to a whopping 70 hp and 107 ft/lbs of torque
Also makes a guest appearance in Bad Boys 2 as well.
Mines not white like that one though.

Oh right, and the Probe.
93 PGT
oh right, Probe GT for those not down with the l337 Probe slang.
I've done.... "Some stuff" to it rolleyes.gif

Anyone wanna learn how to spend 4 times what a car is worth on it in upgrades? I could be your new hero. wink.gif

Oh, so an f40 is like a celeron? blink.gif

Shut up, you are just digging a hole for yourself!
nemt
Obviously the F40 is different, the F40 is TT, and was an extremely limited release.

Additionally, comparing your Audi to a Ferrari doesn't make much sense.
Rylinkus
I don't think he ever compares his Audi to a Ferrari. He just states that the Ferrari was available in a VERY small displacement V8. Would it make you feel better if he chose a different example?

In the US we get used to these HUGE displacement engines. A 5.7L V8. Yeah it's cool and all, but other companies come up with very nice engines that don't require that sort of displacement.

There's plenty of smaller displacement V8s. How bout a supercharged 4.2-liter V8, 400 horsepower engine in the Jag S-Type R? Doesn't Land Rover have a 4.2L V8 in the Range Rover? I know some of their stuff uses a 4.0 V8. How bout the 4.0L V8 in the Olds Aurora? The newest gen Taurus Shos are powered by a 3.4 liter 32 valve churning out a whopping 225hp. Or get into the 3.0L V8s used in F1 cars. If you don't realize that there's a purpose for utilizing a V8 setup instead of a V6 then you probably shouldn't be debating.

Given the choice between a Ferrari F40 and a Celeron I'd take the Ferrari
nemt
Basically what I'm saying is while the Audi engine is impressive, the displacement wasn't really something to "brag about.

I don't see how he's bragging about his car's displacement. If anything he's bragging about his car in general. And his car is bragging rights over most on this forum I'd wager. Regardless of displacement I can be quite confident that his car is quick. And an Audi is world's more refined then any Mustang or Camaro with their big displacement engines.

If displacement were all that matter my 1.0L 3 Inline 3 would not be faster then many cars with twice or 3 times the displacement. Yet it is.

I did not compare my audi to a ferarri or any other car, but I would like to point out that my particular audi was hand built for audi by porsche to a limited run of 250 cars for homologation purposes.

Its a good job for you that size does not mean everything!

Well he did say "4.2l biatches" as if it were some amazing feat.

I'm sure it's a good car, but it's not like his engine could compete with a chrysler 426.

Correct, His engine gets far better gas mileage, pollutes less, and has better reliability while still remaining a fast car.

Yeah, for some reason I read the "biatches" comment as a direct reference to the 4.2l...my mistake.

Also...would you really buy a car based on the amount of pollution it makes?

No, but I would based on gas mileage. When gas prices rise this summer I'm sure my Sprint will be getting more road time then the Probe. A muscle car would be cool, but I' sure I couldn't afford to drive it.

WTF? how is that a proper reply? the new concept eclipse has two motors that totaled together produce 450hp... and hybrids just started hitting the markets (relatively recently). Hydrogen cell cars only give off WATER, WATER.... and once a high capacity cell is produced, as well as higher HP electric motors, there will be no reason that a hydrogen cell powered car couldn't whip the shit out of whatever you drive... don't be so fucking closed minded...

and how the fuck does welfare fit into that? That just doesn't make any sense...

foreign cars blow. get american cars. big cars. not turbo'd focuses. they blow too.
you need a supercharger.
i have a 4.3 V6 with a supercharger. 325HP. 250 stock. btw. small 8's can be good too. my dad has a 2000 Jag XJR with a supercharged 8 making 370 HP and 385 lb/ft STOCK.
but the bigger the engine the better.
yeah, you can get hundreds of HPs in a 4 banger... but that's at like 10,000 RPM.
who the fuck wants a car that has the RPM's of a Dremel?
I redline at 6K and make 350lb/ft.
torque is what matters... not HP.

This is ignorant at best. Foreign cars blow??? You state yourself that one of the cars that beats you is a Jag XJR. I'm sure that I could list of several foreign cars much faster then your Blazer. Frankly I'd love to know what it can run in the quarter mile.

Have you ever driven a high revving car. They can be very enjoyable to drive.

The american V8 has its place in automotive history, however, there are certainly equal if not better imports. The age of the muscle car is over.
