I saw them on tech TV a while back, and had visited prior. The prices jumped when they got the pop from tech TV.

they use automotive grade paint, and a special formula clear coat. which was worth the 50$ orrigionally, but man it's jumped.

taking your xbox to a local custom car place could probably get the same or better paint job for less... I got a whole truck painted for $800 and it had 2 tones of metalflake and 2 more extra colors with 2 clear coats...

Shops like to do little things like that to see what the paint will look like anyway... or just to get rid of flashy paint that they have left over from projects that they dont think people will want to use again before it gets all crusty

The paint looks freakin sweet the PS2s and Gamecubes look good in the one colour but Im not feeling the xbox as much I would love to get my hands on some of that paint my xbox would never work in a stock case cuz the front pannel is way different
