I've seen a lot of disagreement about the best version of Nullsoft's popular Winamp Media Player for client use, personally I've used Winamp since version 2.0.5, downloaded Winamp 3, hated it, and went right back to Winamp 2. Right now I'm using 2.95 standard. I've also really hated the video support ever since the introduced it, and those spyware infested games from Wild Tangent only discouraged me further from using Winamp for anything besides MP3s and CDs (I use WMP9 for pretty much all other audio).

Any thoughts?

I've used Winamp 2 for a while... winamp 5 is great, and I just recently upgraded. Winamp 5 is much more bloated, so it runs a bit slower, but overall its worth the tradeoff.

However, if you use a 'classic' skin in winamp 5, it runs just about as fast as winamp 2.x

I use Winamp 5 Pro and have been absolutely pleased with it. I especially love the Internet TV feature with all those porn channels......hehe.......
