Browse to the Offline folder within splintercell game disc.... open it in a text editor (I viewed it with UnleashX). There are three ini files, ESetting.ini, thirdechelonuser.ini and uw.ini. These files contain some really nice settings and descriptions... Experiment with these andpost your findings here. It seems there are a lot of keyboard options in here. I haven't purchased this game yet, only rented it to give it a test run. Does this game support keyboard?

Someone made a trainer for the original where thirdecheuser.ini was changed. It allowed you to fly through walls, become invisible and infinite ammo, im sure the same can be done with pandora tomorrow, as you say the structure appears the same

I doubt you can use the keyboard as ubisoft have most likely not included a usb keyboard driver in thegame itself. However i may be wrong (about whether the driver is included, or needed at all). I think the keboard mappings are there for easy porting between consoles (map an xbox button as a key on the keyboard and i must be easier to unify the structures of both games)

i'll try replacing the thirdechilon ini file with the moded one from SC 1 and c it it works

try hacking the .ini files first (if there are any). make sure you clear the cache when you do.

Copy and paste the following into a txt file, and save it as ThirdEchelonUser.ini and black will make you invisible, white will make you uninvisible and Dpad Down toggles invincibility, and Dpad Up gives you full health / ammo.

(I would have attempted no clipping mode, but I couldn't think of a button to map it to. Anyway, improve on it, if you like. Thanks to XB0X_Mod, and evil for their work with this file for Splinter Cell, it made making this file much easier 8-))

Play others online with Xlink or XBconnect, I'm sure one or both support it, making it work like a networked game.

i have to clear the cache each time? never tried it, but might be usefull

maybe we can cache edit SC: PD just like we do with halo

well i'm assuming the game caches files, since pretty much every other game does. if you're running the game off a dvd, though, you should cache edit.

alright i've managed to get invincibility (not invisibility) to work. in the Offline folder, edit ThirdEchelonUser.ini. almost all the way at the bottom, you'll see a few joystick layout lines. Use those. it's layed out like this:

the first part of the button name line is the PS2 layout afaik, and the 2nd is the xbox layout. you can see the button function there.

I did this using the duck button as a test.

I got the Invincible button function from looking at the keyboard layout part of thirdechelonuser.ini. reupload thirdechelonuser.ini to the directory, clear the cache (not sure if this is necessary, but i do it just in case), load up a game, and try using the B button to toggle invinicibility. there is no visual confirmation if it works, so just go near an enemy. if they shoot you and your controller vibrates, it means invinicibility is off. if it doesn't vibrate, invincibility is on and your health shouldn't be going down. i'll test this with other functions later. For now, though, have fun.

From here on in, i'll only be posting function names and what they do. Also, it's not necessary to clear the cache. This way, you can make whichever button you want perform that function. The function for invisibility is "Invisible 1".

would there be any possible way at all to get the keyboard drivers in the games so you can use a keyboard? the kaybord has all the cheats mapped to it

i agree, anyways.. when you said hacking the game do you mean online (rb6:3) or offline.. like making sam a large pokemon.

Hey mirx999 nice work do you know the function so you can fly through walls and stuff, like you could on splinter cell one? Also if you do know could you post how to put it/assign it to a button?

I only do offline stuff (thirdechelonuser.ini is in the Offline folder of splinter cell, i'm not gonna bother touching anything else). As for the no clipping...i'm working on it. assigning functions to a button was explained earlier in this thread.

alright i've made a few more discoveries

you can make a button perform 2 functions by putting a | between them...

Invisibility is turned off by mapping a button to perform the function "Invisible 0"

No Clip mode is the function "Ghost"
No Clip is turned off by the function "Walk"

Next I will be working on making a First Person camera for default. (camera settings are in ESetting.ini), so lets see what happens.

NOTE: There are also some interesting settings in uw.ini, such as

but when you change them the game doesn't load. Anyone figured out why?

Corspegrinder99: I was looking through the saves, and it doesn't appear so (probably not because there is no way to configure controls in SC2:PT so there is not reason to store this info in a savefile).

Wow, mirx999, did you completely skip over my huge post? You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble by looking at it, as you wouldn't have had to figure things out, because they were right there.

XB0X_Mod originally figured this all out with the original Splinter Cell (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=26077). All you have to do is take what he figured out, and move it into the Splinter Cell 2 ini files.

Well, SC is using the Unreal engine if i am correct, so many functions should be in common.

i was playing splint today in xbc, and this one guy was just going so goddamn fast.. anybody know how the hell he did that? his xbc tag is _-Batman-_... and i think he had like thermal vision on the merc. cause he was just catching me and i wasnt even using my thermal or night vision. also i was behind the walls that thermo could see through... any ideas? and hes a cunt.. almost forgot that. wink.gif

i dont know if anyone stated but i have done this and it works the command for flying would be FLY and once you fly you are stuck but looking at the same engine as unreal i think the command to get down from that was WALK and thats that flying with invisiblity
and then walking and dropping behind enemies
