I have a modded box and an original. I cannot play the two boxes with system llink.
I play live on original with retail disc. Live downloaded a patch for the game. Does this cause it to not work... any ideas on how to fix this?

Access Live on your modded Xbox, and download the patch for Pandora Tomorrow.

I have friends without Live and would like to play with them. Any Ideas how I could remove the patch on my modded box after I download it so I can still play with them?

I have not dled the patch for scpt yet but if it is like other games you can go into the save file on E:/TDATA for scpt and rename the $u file this is where the update is held. Your game will then not see the update and play from your original retail version. When you want to play on xbl and not have to dl the update again just ftp in and change the file back to $u.

Download XBox-Saves Manager (www.xbox-saves.com) and delete all your Pandora Tomorrow data.. but remember to back up your game save

I've got the same problem, I've got the patch off live but a couple of my friends do not so it won't work. Xbox Save Manager sees only my profile and nothing else, I havent tried system link again after deleting it but i will soon hopefully.

Ok, i am copying a pasting this from my reply in the backup forum:
Use Xbox Saves Manager and backup the WHOLE Splinter Cell 2 data, not just the profile. It should come to over 15MB. Then delete the whole thing off of the xbox and run SC2, the patch will have been deleted along with your profile, so make a quick profile and you can play system link again : )
If you want, you can copy back your old save game profile, but be careful not to copy back the entire SC2 data because that will include the patch and the versions will my incompatible again.
When you want to play on Live again, copy back the original data unless you want live to download the patch again.

ok i am having exactly the opposite problem, when i try to update splinter cell it updates for maybe 1/6 then gives me a technical difficulties error. I was wondering if i could copy a friends save file and put it on mine for the patch?

A player's progress save file has no relation to the Live patch.
So.. keep trying the download

I have a simlar problem. I have the SCPT patch installed on an unmodded XBOX. I would like to get that patch data and install it to my modded XBOX. For whatever reason, my modded XBOX never worked with XBL even with a switch installed.
