any comments so far?
going to add some animation to bring the menu up ...
just getting started

Don't wanna type it out again, so here's the comments, and constructive criticism:

[00:41] <geniusalz> as for improvement: the text should be a little more spaced out
[00:41] <geniusalz> letters are too close together

I like the overall dreamy theme, blurs/fades work really well. Text sticks out a little, maybe you could make it fit more into the theme.

Looks cool, I agree with geniusalz about the text sticking out too much, in one of the filter sets I have for photoshop theres one called squint, and I think thatd do the job right over the text, its basically a glorified blur with more control biggrin.gif , but overall I really like your design, cant wait to see how it comes out. Is the blue part animated?

it would be amazing, if
-> the blue, middle part was an animated, wavy watery thing
-> do sumthing different with the mediaxmenu text, maybe a differnt color, i duno, it looks too 2d, and stanbds out apart from thest rest.
-> make a cool animated loading screen, incorperated the logo into it some how. i think it would be amazing

not animated as of yet, i haven't really looked into doing that, what are the best tools for doing it? ive heard of using particle illusion or premiere...
geniusalz
Particle illusion does wonders with effects. Premiere is more of a cut-n-paste movie editing thing. Adobe after effects lets you do photoshop-style layer effects, filters, etc, and animate those effects. So you could have an animated bevel, starting off as flat, then rising up.

Maybe a combination of after effects and particle illusion will work best.

Or if you are a bit of a n00b at this stuff like me then you could also try using Ulead Cool 3d production suit

So far, so good.

Though it'd be nice to see how the background would match up with the menus implemented (even mock-up menus at this early stage).
