I dont know what is happening but its not booting up any programs from a disc on my xbox. im trying to install a new hd and i have no idea what to do. could i have been burning the discs wrong all along?

Correct me if this isnt what you do

1 i downloaded "SlaYer's EvoX Auto-Installer v2.5FINAL.iso"
2 i start up nero on my burner NR-7800A or whatever it is on the new data cd
3 i burn slayer to a philips CD-RW80 on 4x and without multisession
4 it verifys the data
5 i put it in my samsung dvd drive and boot it up a couple of times
6a it either starts up and immediatly after the xbox sign comes up says "error 13" (the xcuter thing doesnt even have a chance to load)
6b Or it boots up and takes like 6 seconds to try and read the drive but comes up with error 13 anyway.

so should i just keep trying? any advice would really be appriciated. Thanx

are you burning it as an iso and not just putting the iso on the cd?
Syberistic
you got to burn the iso using a program such as nero or alcohol 120%. from what I read it sounds like you just burned it in new data

i took the slayer iso and used nero to burn it. you know when you start up nero burning rom, it shows the CD,DD CD, or DVD i click CD. Then it asks "compile a new cd" or "copy cd", i click compile new. Next it asks "Audio", "Data", or "other formats" and i click Data. After that it asks "create new" or "add to multisession" and i click create new. When i get up what i want on the cd i use the switch thing to nero express and use it like that to actually burn it. Its on "4x" as speed, then i click "dont allow multisession" or whatever it is and to "verify data"
