I have installed an x-ecuter 2 chip to my august v1.1 Xbox (Holes where pin header goes). When the jumper is off of the chip that (I think) enables the chip all works fine apart from the fact that backups dont work!. However when I enable the chip (Put jumper on) the box reboots itself 3 times & stays with red/green red/green etc. I have tried changing the jumper on/off for the version but only difference is that the xbox beeps when it powers off. I have physically traced all connections from the chip to the points that they end up on the board & they are all ok. Just to recap I have installed Pin Header & 2 wire connecter (left out the wire harness) I have not flashed anything or done anything else at all as this is a brand new xbox. Also I have 4 of these chips & all do the same thing

Any Help is GREATLY APPRECIATED, but I fear that there might be a sad little boy on Xmas morning (just to pull a few heartstrings) ;-)

Thanx m8, I had just found it!, I have found a few other people that had the same prob, but I have just found another diag & I think that the alternative D0 is different to the one that I have installed it to!.... I will let you know

Cool!!!!!! Basically it was the Pin Header all the time!!. Even though I reinstalled it several times & checked repeatedly there was a fault with the pin header. I connected the wire harness direct to the board & hey presto it is perfect!!.
