is the link supposed to be between the 1st and 3rd point (starting from the left)? or 1st and 4th? its somewhat hard to see... or it could be either way actually but i have set up the mod using the ist and 3rd and it didnt work, so im just checking...

First is GROUND (-) and the LAST one to the RIGHT is 5V(+).

Here is a way to do that mod wiht out haveing to do anything ot the controller I have found that the mad catz controller dont' seem to work this way but still.

You guys dont understand him. He wants to know which points for the mod when you plug your controller in the led above the port lights up.

I am also interested in doing this mod, but I can't seem to find any tutorials on it.

maybe i should have updated this thread... i got it working... it was working the first time i did it but i was using the wrong resistor so the leds were really dim... 47k ohms instead of 47 ohms... yeah, im real smart... laugh.gif

One question, by doing this mod, you forfeit the use of any light guns, racing wheels, or dancepads since you need to cut the yellow wire from each controller port?

yeah, it sucks.

check out the tutorials pages on here, there is a way of doin this without messing with the yellow wire, u use the controller port surround for ground, isolate it from the xbox caseing, and when the controller is plugged in, the controller port surround recieves ground an the light comes on....good old twisted found this lot out! what a clever chap!
