I just bought an xbox the other day, v1.5, did the ALL Versions tutorial TSOP flashing, and found that I dont have the sharp solder point that I had to do.

The trouble I'm having is reincoat, it's not finding the TSOP flash, it can't read it.

Does someone have another alternate tutorial?

What else should I check? it's a 256k bios

I am having the exact same problem with 2 different boxes. When i try to flash I get nothing by telneting in and when I try with evoxautoinstaller I get flash not writeable. I tested the points with an ohlm meter and they are good. There is no splatter on the board I made sure of that.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you guys using the latest version of raincoat?

I believe that I am using the newest raincoat. got it from the tribe. I think it is .5, If there is a newer one let me know. I also found out that I have the 5530 Kernel which seems to be causing a lot of problems.

I believe .7 is the newest at the moment... don't quote me on that though. See if you can find it and try it.

you also may want to check yer raincoat.conf to make sure it contains the specs fer yer chip...
