I was wondering what would be some good temperature settings for the xbox.
I have been having some trouble with my box lately. What would be some good temp settings in Farenheight for the CPU, MB, and HD. Good meaning better than average.
Thanks

Ok so the lower end ranges would be considered a cool temperature?.

I've done the 12V fan mod on an Antec 80mm fan and added a heatsink/fan combo to my MCPX chip. I run at about 120 F (CPU) and 96 F (motherboard). I would say that those are some of the cooler temps you'll find. As long as you don't go over 150 (CPU) and 120 (motherboard) you should be alright. At least that's what I've seen from reading these forums.

I have a 12v fan in my xbox and it still runs about 53c. I never had a problem w/ temperature until I installed a new power supply. Now my xbox shuts off when ever I am playing a game only. The thing is that if I wait about 2 min. and turn my xbox back on, the temp still reads about 53. Why would this be happening?
I originally had my ide cable blocking the fan so I thought that was the problem. It helped, my xbox stayed on a little longer but it still shuts off.
Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe the fan isn't working correctly, or you have knocked the cpu heatsink off balance so that it doesn't make a good connection to the cpu

Everything is fine though. The temps aren't too high. They are in the low 50's which should be fine.
