wondering if anybody can help me figure something out. I built my moms computer awhile back and everything seems cool for her. except one time i went to use her computer and i was on aol and had an issue with one of the general websites and aol locked up and then all of a sudden her computer will completly shut off and restart without me doing anything. What can be causing it to do that? have it happen to anyone before? I clean out her computer and reinstallled everything thinking it was a corrupt file but that didnt change nothing. Any suggestions??

Check for possible overheat issues.
nemt
My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings

Uncheck "automatically restart," this will allow you to see the error (usually bad RAM or a bad file) casuing the reboots.
