I have XBMP 2.4 downloaded and installed on my Xbox. Pretty much the only reason I got it was to watch mpeg, avi, etc. movies. I have a very simple question. I tried reading through all the tutorials but they were just confusing. If all I want to do is play those mpeg and avi movies off of my HDD, how do I do it?

--->Also, do I need to use XBMP to play movies I've burned to my hard drive. I burned Sleepy Hollow into my movies section and it showed up in XBMP, but all it has is some videots file with some videots.info files in it. How do I get XBMP to play Sleepy Hollow?

use xbmc just install it with out configing any stupid file and you can watch youre movies but you may need download some codecs
you will find the site for these codecs in mplayer file
