Does anyone know how i can unlock my 120 gig Maxtor HD? I locked it but then i messed up my box, so now i need to unlock the hard drive with my computer. I did back up the hdkey and all that info, im just not sure how to use that. I have the same problem with the original hd also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

This is what you need to do:

Get the following programs:
atapwd.exe
hdunlock.exe
hddisabl.exe

1) W/ your computer off, install your xbox in your computer set to secondary master. Make sure nothing is installed as secondary slave.

2) Boot into DOS and run hdunlock.exe and select the appropriate drive and enter the password for the drive.

3) Run hddisabl.exe and enter the same password.

4) Run atapwd.exe. There are several flags. Uder the L (locked) there shouldn't be an X. If there is then you entered a wrong password.

Your drive will now be unlocked.

actually, you can unlock and disable the drive with just atapwd alone. just make a dos boot disk with it on there.
