I was having the "Device not found" using WinLPC. I tried a few different computers and finally got to one that would allow me to use winLPC. The thing is that it takes an awefully long time to read, write or verify. Long time is like 5+ minutes just for a 256kb bios? Is this normal?

I also tried wmilk.exe. It's slightly faster. I can burn a new image onto the chip using this program fine if I don't turn on verify. But if I do, it'll go 3/4 of the way and then halts due to a verify error. Something tells me this chip may be deffective? Can this be?

Never mind. The chip works fine if I just use wmilk.exe instead of winLPC.exe.

what option /switches are you using to program chip?
I am having the exact same problem.
is it .... wmilk -p bios.bin? i cant figure it out. it wont recognize device on windows xp. i did it once a long time ago on my win2000 laptop, but i no linger have that computer.
any help would beappreciated.

also.. does the LED turn on if its correctly plugged into the cpu?

I think the LED only turns on when flashing from the computer, as well as when it's in the xbox.

This is the command u need to program a Matrix:

wmilk -c -a ffc00000 -v -p myfile.bin

...Replace myfile.bin with a 256k bin file of your choice.

LED turns on when its correctly plugged into the P.C (don't use an extension lead)

P.S: Tried 3 tower P.C's, with XP pro, no joy though

...Ended up using a laptop with XP home.

And 'yes' they do take a long time to write to the chip, but u have to cross your fingers that it manages to do it in the first place
