k well i was reading the tutorial that is now in the tsop section for flashing all versions i am net new to tsop flashing but i have never done anything over a v1.0 or a 1.1. today i have friend who has a 1.5 box he recently purchased and he wants me to do a tsop flash so i rechecked my skills and the points to sauder and yada yada i was reading in the topis that it said to use eurasia i was wondering if this was required because my usual way was to load up evox from a softmod and go into evox and flash will this still work or do i have to use the eurasia save ???


one more this friend of mine wants to get a modchip in te future i was wondering if i could reflash the onboard bios with the original bios and have that be fine on live then install a modchip and completly switch over to that

This 1.5 box is quite likely to be a winbond, which can not be flashed by evox. Make sure you use M7 or X2 4979, 4981 or 4983 as your bios, as the 1.5's have a focus video encoder.

Yes, if you put a mod chip in later, it is possible to reflash the tsop back to retail for live work.
