ive seen a few topics about people using the wierd ps2 pad lcd screen, but could you use a gba screen somhow? so the the xbox displayed on the gba screen and the tv

It is theoretically possible, as you can get an adaptor that lets you plug in anything with standard component inputs to the GBA, so the screen can handle it. Its jsut a case of hooking up jsut teh screen somehow.

This thing is what you could use. However, it would be up to you how to mount the screen.

but couldnt you bypass the need for that stuff, by opening the gba and removing the screen and then just wire up the screen to the xbox

no, your screen must be set up for video in. thats why the hip screens are perfect. But by all means give it a shot.

yup....just open it and wire it up! ...just that easy....

Sorry, Im having a bad day....youd have to get a serious map of the wiring and ribbon cable connecting the screen to the gba mobo......and it would take some skilled solder work as well-.....

If this is something your interested in, you may want to find one of those hip screens...

My compusa in Tucson has the hip screen pads for $30!!!
Now that is a cheap way to mod...
They also have an xbox hip pad... If you got this, you would also have an extra controller to mod, or at least some extra parts.. (Parts is Parts...)
To get the GBA screen to work you will need scan converts etc. That is why you would need to get the atatchment thing it probably has a scan converter in it to convert video signal to what ever signal the GBA uses.
