So .... I tried to install a smartxx... I got frags after installing what i thought was a properly installed chip using the pin headers. After looking around I think what happend ... I pulled the DO trace a little. So I think using a the mod chip is down the drain, beacuse I dont think I can fix the trace. I've done tsop on serveral 1.5 versions. This xbox I'm flashing is a 1.0 or 1.1 , what I'm wondering ... am I able to do an Onboard flash (TSOP) of the bios after messing up the DO? has anyone done this?

does it boot to teh MS dash still? if it does you can try the alt d0 on the bottom, or flash the TSOP with any of the methods detailed in teh pinned tutorials

if it doesnt boot (just frags) then youll need to repair the trace

Yep it boots with out the chip pluged in with no issues. So I can just do a normal tsop flash ? The trace of DO not being connected wont be an issue? From what I've read you need to have that top DO connected to use the alt DO for soldering... is this correct?

im not sure, im not a big modchip guy (TSOPs are my specialty)

but yeah, you can flash the TSOP normally if that all you want to do
