Ok first thing i did while installing this was install it wrong. i'm too used to putting everything in a custom directory, not everything in the root of c, but this isn't a problem, i actually read after it and realized that i installed to the wrong location.
next, before even booting i tried to edit the xml file to add an extra tab, but then realized there was more to it than that. I keep my homebrew games in the games folder, and retail xbox games in another, and i like to have them sorted. It would be great to have an easily configurable xml that would allow me to add a new menu tab. then i wouldn't have all the confusion in the games directory. i would have my 2 seperate and sorted lists
next i loaded up the minigames. i accessed pong and thought it was very impressive to see the demo of it going. i then went to play it, it appeared to freeze when i selected 1 player, but i was told this was due to the fact that it just takes awhile to load. it would be nice to have a progress bar or something indicating that it isn't actually frozen
lastly i heard about the power of the game/dvd copier. i loaded up enter the matrix since the copyier was supposed to auto patch it and make it playable even with the long file names. I selected where i wanted it to copy to. then my led changed to red and i thought the screen froze again. i then ftp'd to my xbox and saw that it did in fact copy the files, however due to the fact that my hdd didn't have enough room on it. It would be nice to see a progress bar or a % showing that the game is actually copying, or even simply go to a new screen that says game copy in progress. then there should be an error or confirmation when the game is copied successful or unsucessful.
i just deleted gentooX from my xbox so i now have room for the game to copy. i'll see how this works out and if the game is playable even with the file name error

last thing i can think of
the filesystem used for nexgen may be confusing for some people, and this will make it hard for people to make the switch from another dash to this one. While i understand how it works, many may not. it may not be a big deal in the xml file or the ftp, but for the dvd copy it may be confusing for awhile for people

actually what is the ftp timeout? how long. while the game was copying to the hdd i was using ftp to keep track of the progress, then the connection was lost and it wouldn't reconnect (just realized it was because it actually did freeze)
ok it froze because i ran out of space again
Psilocybe
hmm... looks awful familiar to my findings
