HI,

I have an xbox which is to my knoledge an 1.4 xbox. As i measured between pin 2 and ground, and I had a connection. -after some difficult measuring-


I tried installing a Chameleon which was already flashed with a 4977 bios. My box frags. The old red green 3 powerup boot failure.


Now I have checked all connections and they seem ok, but the meter with which I measured the ground pin 2 thingy isnt exactly to be trusted, so here is my question:

Can i connect the 3.3 volt, and the ground to the pins from the pinheader, without frying my xbox, which is 1.4 ( or 1.5 )

I have installed quite a fex xboxes just no 1.5`s, and I wanne test if maybe the 3.3v and the ground make a difference.

1.4-1.5 has focus encoder so you have to use 4979+ bios. 4977 will frag on a 1.4 no matter wat.

Tnx a lot! I thought My 4977 should work on a 1.4 at least.

Luckily i have some spare xboxes here which are not 1.4.
