since i am not a great solderer, i want to use the backside d0 point when i install my x2 pro, but in order to do that, i would need a longer wire since it is made for the fronside d0... from what i understand, all that needs to be done is to connect the d0 to the ground, like this..user posted image

for an x2 could i then use a d0 wire like that, and just plain leave out the plugin that connects the d0 and ground for the x2?

if all the x2 plugin does is connect the ground to the d0, why o why does it plugin to the x2??.. it just constrains it.

are you installing a cheapmod or x2?
by the sounds of things, it is an x2 you intend on installing. if so, get rid of the cheapmod diagrams and use the x2 diagrams.

It doesn'ty simply connect d0 to GND. Just insatll it the way it is supposed to, or the remainder of your short xbox experience is going to get worse (ref to your sig.)

I can't see a problem with what your saying.

Should work. can't hurt to try anyway.

Someone mentioned this on another forum.. Take the grey wire supplied with the X2 and run it through one of the unused LPC pads and connect it to the alt. d0. Works like a charm..

What exactly is the difference between a Cheapmod or X2 ? also where are the X2 schematics ? Is the 29LF020 compatible with the 39LF020 ? or say 49LF020 ?

Also what is a 39SF020A ?

on x2 the d0 is not simply connected directly to GND via the wires supplied. The mod also needs to be earthed!

wow the wire is really long enough??.. score thats what ill do then

in answer to others questions, yes i intend to install an x2, but as i understood it, all the plugin does is connect the d0 to a ground.. if thats not all it does, how come it works that way with a cheapmod??... and earthed??? isnt that the same thing as grounded. . . .
