yeah i know stupid me.. i was reflashing a whipped tsop for a friend and the hard drive slid down into the inside of the xbox, it arched on the dvd-rom drive and one of the hard drive chips started smoking.. yuck.. the dash was still on though.. but i shut it off real quick.. what i'm askin is when my replacement drive gets here should i use the board of it and put in on my hard drive to try and salvage the info or just leave it as a lesson learned.. i don't want to wait for another rma request.. but i heard that what data recovery companys do first.. swap or no swap?
